Message From The Chief

Welcome to our new website! We recently redesigned the site to make it more useful for you, and I trust you will find it helpful. Please feel free to email or call me if you have any further questions or concerns.

It is an honor to serve as your Fire Chief, and to be entrusted with the command of the men and women of the Willimantic Fire Department. I was officially appointed to the position in 2012, after two years as Interim Fire Chief. My sincerest desire is for our department to treat everyone with dignity, and to offer the best possible service while providing quick/effective solutions in your time of crisis. I come to work each day with this goal in mind.

Not only do I work in this community, I live here as well: my house is just about 1 mile from the firehouse. We're practically neighbors! I'd like to get to know you before you have an emergency, so please consider yourself invited to stop into the fire station to say hello whenever you are in the downtown area, or find me at a community event.

I'm sure you'll agree with me that we have a very professional force of highly capable firefighters. We all stand ready to serve at a moment's notice.

Sincerely,

Chief Scrivener
