Youth Leadership AcademyYouth Leadership Academy

Dates: July 10th to July 14th, 2023. The purpose of this Academy is to provide:

  • Leadership training
  • Life skills
  • Personal development
  • Team building challenges
  • Public service opportunities
  • Interaction with community leaders and motivational speakers

The curriculum will include classroom presentations, community service, guest speakers, trips to the State Capitol, and the National Guard's Leadership Course and team building activities.

This course is designed for students entering grades 9 through students entering grade 12. Course hours will be from 8 am to 3 pm daily. Graduation will be on Friday, July 14th from 6 to 8 pm.

There is no cost for this course. Lunch is provided free of charge, every day.

Partnership to Reduce the Influence of Drugs for EveryoneJunior Youth Leadership Academy

Dates: August 1 to August 4, 2023. The purpose of this Academy is to provide:

  • Leadership training
  • Life skills
  • Personal development
  • Team building challenges
  • Public service opportunities
  • Interaction with community leaders and motivational speakers

The curriculum will include classroom presentations, community service, guest speakers, a field trip and a National Guard Obstacle Course.

This course is designed for teenagers entering 7th and 8th grades in the fall of 2022. Course hours will be from 8 am to 3 pm daily. Graduation will be on Friday, August 4th from 6 to 8 pm.

There is no cost for this course. Breakfast and lunch is provided free of charge, every day.
